Portraits in Pastel or Charcoal

This beginner/intermediate class emphasizes the fundamentals of portraiture. Pencil, charcoal and pastel will be used to create works of art and also capture a likeness of the individual. After the initial class of basic portraiture, art students will receive individual instruction while working from their personal photographs. All levels are welcome. No prior experience in portrait drawing is needed. This is a class that is individualized for each student and can be continued in additional sessions. Portraits can be completed using monochromatic pastel or charcoal for the less experienced student or full color pastel for the more advanced.
